How to Get Good Ideas (and What to Do When You Get Them)

Good ideas are rarely born when you’re sitting at your desk trying to force them.
They usually sneak up on you when you least expect it — right before sleep, in the middle of a shower, out of frustration, or even randomly while you’re daydreaming.
Step 1: Notice Where Your Ideas Come From
Most good ideas are simply solutions to problems you already have.
You want something to be faster, cheaper, or easier → your brain invents it.
You get frustrated with something → your brain tries to fix it.
You’re lying in bed in silence → your brain connects dots that were always there.
The best way to make yourself a target for good ideas is to be bored, and you can do that by simply sitting and doing 'nothing'.
Step 2: Capture the Idea Immediately
When inspiration strikes, don’t rely on memory — it’s not as reliable as you think.
Grab whatever is near you – notebook, phone notes app, WhatsApp draft, even the back of a receipt.
Scurry for it — don’t try to look cool – You’ll thank yourself later when you don’t regret forgetting it.
Write enough to remember the core concept – Just a few words can be enough to bring the whole idea back later.
Step 3: Keep It Private (At First)
As tempting as it is, don’t immediately tell your friends or family.
They might discourage you without meaning to.
You might lose motivation if you get mixed feedback too soon.
Instead, start by talking to AI.
Step 4: Discuss It With AI
AI (like ChatGPT) can help you explore your idea from every angle before anyone else hears it.
Turn off training first – Go to Profile → Settings → Data Controls → “Improve the model for everyone” → Toggle OFF so your idea isn’t used to train future models.
Validate the idea – Ask questions like:
“What are the biggest risks in this idea?”
“Who would benefit from this solution?”
“What are 5 ways to monetize this?”
Brainstorm freely – AI won’t judge you and can help you see possibilities you missed.
Step 5: Bring It to Us
Once you’ve refined and validated your idea, it’s time to take action. That’s where Idea.exe comes in.
Let’s execute that brilliant idea together.
We’ll help you plan, build, and even monetize your idea, with fair profit sharing based on contribution — and we’re open to negotiation.
